Staffed Residential Support

Round-the-clock staffed homes for individuals with complex support needs.

Disability & Community Support
A support worker and a young man set the dinner table together in a shared home.

Some people need support around the clock to live safely. That shouldn’t mean giving up a real home, a daily routine of their own, or a place in the community. Our staffed residential homes are built around the people who live in them.

Who it’s for

  • Youths and adults with cognitive disabilities, complex health needs, or mental health needs
  • People who need consistent support, day and night
  • Families looking for a safe, stable home for a loved one

How we provide support

Each person has an individualized support plan built with them and their family. Staff support daily living — meals, personal care, medications, and household routines — while encouraging each person to do as much as they can.

Our approach is trauma-informed: we focus on safety, predictability, and trust, and respond to difficult behaviour with understanding rather than punishment. Our registered nurses provide clinical oversight for health needs.

A life, not just a placement

Home is also about belonging. We support life skills, hobbies, relationships, cultural connection, and getting out into the community — so each person can build a full life.

How we care

How we treat every client

Whatever the service, the person comes first — not the task list.

  • Dignity first

We knock before we enter, ask before we help, and explain what we’re doing. Privacy and modesty are protected during personal care.

  • Their choices, their routine

The care plan starts with the person — how they like their morning, what they eat, what matters to them — and we follow it.

  • Trauma-informed

Safety, trust, and respect come first. We move at the person’s pace and never force care.

  • Culturally safe

We honour each person’s culture, language, faith, and traditions, and work with families and Indigenous elders where they want us to.

  • Families stay in the loop

You’re part of the care team. We share updates, listen to what you notice, and adjust the plan with you.

  • Nurses behind the team

Registered nurses provide clinical oversight, so care workers have backup for medication, wound care, and changes in health.

More questions and answers

Is this like an institution?

No. These are homes, built around the people who live there — their routines, interests, and goals — with support available around the clock.

Can families stay involved?

Yes, and we encourage it. Families are part of the care team, and we work with you on the support plan and keep you updated.
