Palliative & End-of-Life Care

Compassionate comfort-focused care at home, supporting clients and families through every stage.

When time is short, what matters most is comfort, dignity, and being where you want to be, with the people you love. We help make that possible at home, and we support the family through it.

Who it’s for

  • People living with a life-limiting illness who wish to be cared for at home
  • Families caring for a loved one near the end of life
  • Palliative teams looking for in-home support

How we provide care

Care focuses on comfort: easing symptoms, gentle personal care, repositioning, mouth and skin care, and a calm, peaceful environment. We work alongside the person’s palliative care providers and follow their plan, with registered nurses providing clinical oversight.

We honour each person’s wishes, beliefs, culture, and traditions — including spiritual and ceremonial practices that matter to them and their family.

Beside the family

Caring for someone at the end of life is exhausting and emotional. We give families time to rest, to be a son or daughter rather than a caregiver, and to be together. We’re there for the hard conversations and the quiet moments.

How we care

How we treat every client

Whatever the service, the person comes first — not the task list.

  • Dignity first

We knock before we enter, ask before we help, and explain what we’re doing. Privacy and modesty are protected during personal care.

  • Their choices, their routine

The care plan starts with the person — how they like their morning, what they eat, what matters to them — and we follow it.

  • Trauma-informed

Safety, trust, and respect come first. We move at the person’s pace and never force care.

  • Culturally safe

We honour each person’s culture, language, faith, and traditions, and work with families and Indigenous elders where they want us to.

  • Families stay in the loop

You’re part of the care team. We share updates, listen to what you notice, and adjust the plan with you.

  • Nurses behind the team

Registered nurses provide clinical oversight, so care workers have backup for medication, wound care, and changes in health.

More questions and answers

Can someone be cared for at home until the end?

For many people, yes. We work alongside palliative care providers to support comfort at home. We'll talk openly with you about what's possible for your situation.

Do you support the family too?

Yes. Supporting the people at the bedside is part of the care — keeping you informed, giving you time to rest, and being present during difficult moments.
